We get asked this a lot, and we'd rather answer it honestly than slap a "healthy" label on the bag. The short answer: it depends what you're comparing it to.

Next to a mass-produced supermarket cookie, with a long ingredient list you can't quite pronounce, yes, an oat cookie made with real almonds, walnuts, seeds, and whole oats is the more honest choice. Oats are a whole grain, not a refined one. Almonds and walnuts bring good fats. Pumpkin and sunflower seeds add crunch and nutrients.

But we'll stay honest here too: our cookies still have sugar, oil, and chocolate chips in them. This isn't a diet food, and we're not going to pretend it is. It's a real cookie, made to be a bit better than average, not a meal replacement or a protein bar.

Our rule is simple: if we can't say an ingredient out loud, it doesn't go in the mix. What matters most in your own diet is really up to you.
